On all smartphones and tablets, we recommend downloading the Microsoft “Outlook” application from your app/play store. Once installed, open the Outlook app and follow the instructions to add your Microsoft 365 subscription. This will give you email, contacts and calendar functionality. (You will often need to access the setting and make sure that the phone can access you contacts.)
We do not recommend using the built-in email system on smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers. Subsequently, we do not recommend adding your email account to Apple Mail, Gmail, or Windows Mail. We do recomend you add your Microsoft/Office 365 account to Apple iPhones for contacts and/or calendar. Google Android devices will sychronise the contacts from the “Outlook” application.
On desktop computers and laptops, you have the option of (a) using the office.com webmail or (b) downloading the “Outlook Desktop” software. For advanced functionality we recommend installing the Microsoft Outlook desktop software from office.com. Run the software and follow the instructions to add your Microsoft 365 subscription.
Similarly, download and install the Microsoft One Drive software to allow cloud based file storage and backup.
